Leanne Borghesi is an accomplished actress and vocalist who has studied the art of cabaret for over two decades and has entertained audiences in major concert venues, theaters, nightclubs, and cabaret rooms from San Francisco to New York City.
Hailed “a sumptuous feast of outrageousness,” Leanne is at home whether she’s riffing with jazz ensembles, belting it out with big bands, devising comedic ‘theatrical cabarets,’ or creating bawdy nightclub acts. Her productions are decadent, entertaining and interactive, making each performance unique, personal, with the bawdy Borghesi flair.
Recent Theatrical Cabaret Shows: Showbroads (Birdland, NYC), Mood Swings (Triad, Laurie Beechman, NYC) Swing Called Love (Feinstein’s), B.O.O.B.S! (Feinstein’s at the Nikko), Anita Cocktail Hour (Feinstein’s at the Nikko), Bazazz (Eugene O’Neill Theater Center, Metropolitan Room, NYC)
She made her 2019 Carnegie Hall Debut in An Evening of Jerome Kern and is a regularly featured guest star at the Mabel Mercer Foundation’s New York Cabaret Convention (2018,2019, *2020) held each year at Lincoln Center’s Rose Theater. *postponed to 2021
